Thankful!

LilBird's quarterly appointment was pushed back a week due which did not bother me a bit since the time change has had us tweaking pump settings to regain control of her blood sugar. Her A1C was 6!! She did not have any change in height nor weight this time, even though she has shown weight increase when she weighs herself at Grandma & Grandpa's house. (She didn't eat much breakfast this morning, though, having awoke with a runny nose .. fingers crossed that it is only a day of sniffles like I had on Sunday.) For the most part, the changes I've made in the past couple of weeks have begun to straighten her out, so we left with only a bolus rate change to try to reign in a fairly consistent bedtime higher rate. So, as we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, I am thankful for acupuncture, needles, meters, an insulin pump, health insurance, a clinic we love, and a happy and healthy little girl who very consistently cooperates with managing her disease!
