Dancing Down the Sugar
LilBird has been taking musical theater classes for two years. This year, she became a little disenchanted with it and wanted to dance. For about half this past season, we've talked about what kind of dance class she would take this next fall. She "taps" around the house A LOT, and I have been trying to convince her that she would love tap class. Until this summer, that suggestion was met with, "I don't need to take a tap class, Mom, because I already know how to tap dance!" When the summer schedule at Center Stage presented a "Dancing Through the Decades" class introducing a variety of fun dance styles (associated with different decades in history), I signed her up immediately. As you can see in the videos below, she LOVES it. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for helping out so she can take tap AND hip hop this fall. :) Dance class is a lot more active than musical theater, and so far, even with temporarily reduced basal rates, she's fallen low every time. We'll get it worked out, though, because who can resist this smile?
*Note, you may wanna scroll down and turn off the tunes below before you play these videos. :)
